To respond to world water, meteorological days in 2018

World Water Day 2018 with the theme “Nature for Water” and “Weather-ready, climate-smart” for World Meteorological Day, The United Nations stresses the importance role of water, weather in human life.
According to statistics, more than 60% of Vietnam's water is produced from outside the country. Water sources are continuing to decline due to climate change and human impacts such as pollutant discharge, overexploitation and unreasonability. Climate change causes disastrous natural disasters that destabilize ecosystems and biodiversity. In particular, 2017 is known for the disaster on record with 16 storms, tropical depressions 4, causing serious consequences.
 
Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park is also heavily affected by the impact of weather, climate changes. Many typhoons, floods and droughts caused a negative impact on ecosystems and biodiversity every year. Phong Nha - Ke Bang ecosystem is very important in regulating floods, erosion, water storage for rivers such as Son river, Dinh river, Long Dai river... It has the function of regulating the climate, which is a diverse habitat of plants and animals.
To respond to world water and meteorological days in 2018, Management Board of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park has directed the units to carry out activities, disseminate all officials and employees that strictly implement Law No.90/2015/QH13 dated November 23th  2015 of the National Assembly on Hydrometeorology; Decree No. 38/2016/ND-CP dated 15 May 2016 of the Government providing detailed regulations on some articles of the Law on Meteorology and Hydrology./.
