Phong Nha – Ke Bang Tourism Center

1. INTRODUCTION

Phong Nha – Ke Bang Tourism Center is an income generating governmental unit which ensure its operational budget, which has legal status with separate stamp and bank account, its headquarter is situated at Son Trach commune, Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province.

3. FUNCTIONS, TASKS AND RIGHTS:

3.1. Functions:

- Phong Nha – Ke Bang Tourism Center has the functioning to advise and support the Director of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park in exploiting and manage tourism activities and services at the assigned routes by the Director of the Park.

- Phong Nha – Ke Bang Tourism Center is under the direction and management on organizational structure, personel and operation of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park Management Board. Tourism Center is inspected, guided on professional knowledge by State management agencies of tourism.

3.2. Tasks and rights:

- Exploit and manage tourism activities and services at the routes, including: Phong Nha cave, Tien Son cave, Revolutionary Martyr Hero Memory Temple – Victorious 20 Road, Y ta cave, Mooc Spring, Chay river – Dark cave and other routes, sites which assigned by Director of Phong Nha – Ke Bang Management Board.

- Trade on types of tourism services, including: Guide, travel, transportation, souvenir, accommodation and other auxiliary services in accordance with the law.

- Get fees at tourism sites which assigned by Director of Management Board; Manage and use revenues of tourism business activities, services and other revenue accordance with law provisions; Manage and use the State’s facilities and assets as prescribed by law.

- Linking tourist routes and sites in Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park to other routes and sites in Quang Binh and other provinces; To cooperate with domestic and international travel business agencies to implement tourism activities and services at the assigned routes by the Director of the Park.

- Develop and implement strategies, plans for propaganda, advertising, promotion of the assigned routes and outstanding values of World Natural Heritage Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park.

- Manage tourism activities in order to ensure the security of natural and social  environment, keep safety for tourists at all assigned routes; Coordinate with the local authorities of related commune in managing, operate the boats and  tourism and service activities in accordance with the law.

- Manage organizational personel, funding, equipment, technical facilities; implement the wage regime, remuneration policy, commendation, discipline and other regimes and policies for officers and laborers of the unit as decentralized by the Director of National Park Management Board and as prescribed by law.

- Implement the other tasks assigned by the Director of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park Management Board.
