Dated 07.14.2015 in Thuong Trach, Bo Trach District, Quang Binh Province, National Park Management Board of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park in collaboration with the Project Management area of Phong Nha – Ke Bang cooperation component GIZ organized technical conference on “Strengthening measures interagency coordination in the management and protection of forests National Park Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park in the communal area adjoining the border buffer zone Vietnam – Laos in the districts Bo Trach “. The purpose of the Conference to assess the status of inter-agency coordination in law enforcement (relating to forest protection and wildlife control) for key management agencies and local authorities as well as institutional bodies in handling the threats to the World Heritage as well as the illegal wildlife trade in recent years Thuong Trach commune in the province and surrounding areas; Dissecting the favorable side, difficulties in inter-agency coordination and protection management at the commune and then propose solutions to resolve.

At the conference, the management agency in the province has presented the situation of forest protection and management of wildlife Thuong Trach Commune in the province, as well as sharing the difficulties in the protection of forests and wildlife management in Thuong Trach area and the surrounding area. Some difficulties are posed as lack of close cooperation in joint control at the border sector, the lack of coordination between the government and the local level, lack of interagency coordination institutions in inspection wildlife management on a regular basis and stability; coordination advocacy, education deeply unfulfilled, lack of uniformity and no long-term strategic.
