A delegation of Laos’s Khammouane Agriculture and Sylvicultyre Department, led by its director Bun Chan Xay Pan Nha, on August 3rd 2017 visited Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park in exchanging experiences on forest management and protection.
Đinh Huy Tri, Vice Director of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park Management Board, and representatives of divisions, sub institutions welcomed the delegation. While welcoming the delegates, Management Board of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park informed status of activities, achievements in forest management and protection, tourism exploitation and promotion of heritage values in the Park.
Both sides exchange and share experiences on forest management and protection, especially with the participation of local people and dicuss the models of village conservation groups, as well as the model of forest protection groups in the Park’s natural resources management coordination; Share experiences on propaganda, Environmental education, conservation awareness in Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park and the protected areas of Khammoune.
In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation visited and worked in the Park’s Forest Protection Stations.
On schedule, Khammouane province’s delegation work in the field in Bong Lai village, Hung Trach commune, Bo Trach district then finish the mission on August 5th 2017./.
