Commander Cave (also known as NH General Depot or 7-Storey Cave) is a 7-storey natural cave. During the anti-American war, it was converted into a strategic depot, serving as a logistics hub, a forward command post, and an emergency treatment area. The cave holds significant historical importance, deeply tied to the legendary Victory Road 20 and the Ho Chi Minh Trail.
Today, Commander Cave is a historical site with important educational value, located on Victory Road 20 within the UNESCO World Heritage site of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park. It features historical exhibits, war documentaries, and the first-of-its-kind VR360 9D virtual reality experience in Vietnam about Victory Road 20 and the Ho Chi Minh Trail.
