On 2nd October 2017, the Police Department Against Environment Crimes – Police in Dong Hoi city has handed over two wildlife individuals to Center for Rescue, Conservation and Creatures development.
Those are one individual of Assamese Macaque (Macaca assamensis) and one individual of Indochinese rhesus macaque. Individual of Assamese Macaque is 1,5kg of weight. It is handed over to the Police Department Against Environment Crimes – Police in Dong Hoi city by Mr Hoang Van Phuc. He has raised this individual for a long time. However Mr Phuc had handed over voluntarily it to release in the natural environment after polices propagated, explained and mobilized him.
Individual of Indochinese rhesus macaque (Macaca mulatta) is 0,4kg of weight. It is handed over to the Police Department Against Environment Crimes – Police in Dong Hoi city by Mr Nguyen Van Minh. He has also raised this individual for a long time. After he got the propaganda, explanation and mobilization of polices, he has realized that the captive wildlife is illegal, need to hand over it to rescue then release it to the natural environment.
Both individuals are endangered, rare and precious wildlife species of group IIB as stipulated in Decree 32/2006/ND-CP dated on 30th March 2006 by the Government on Management of Endangered, Precious and rare Species of Wild Plants and Animals./.
